UpBup's SMS Text Messaging solution gives providers an option to send text messages directly to parents, administrators and teachers' phones, in addition to email for Info and Emergency type of messages.
When SMS Text messaging is enabled for a provider, the message template must have 'Send By' set to include Sms. There are three options depending on the intended recipients of the message:
- BothChildrenAndStaffEmailAndSms
- OnlyChildrenEmailAndSms
- OnlyStaffEmailAndSms
SMS Text messages should be limited to a concise 160 characters. Before sending SMS Text messages, administrators should review the selected message template to confirm that the message body does not exceed the character limit.
